OPA615: 5-10ns charge time

Part Number: OPA615
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA860

Hi! I want to use the OPA as a sample and hold with a fast charge time capacitor allowing 5-10ns to charge, and also want to sample at a fast rate, meaning that I set the hold control to 1-50 MHz. Is this chip specified for this type of operation?

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Priya,

Since the propagation delay is only 4.5ns, yes, you should be able to sample at 50MHz (20ns). What is the amplitude and period of your pulse and what is your desired hold amplitude and period?
