Hi Support team,
My customer wishes to use INA169 for 100V application, and wondering if the following circuit is going to work. Can they do the floating ground to sense Vbus > 60V?
Thanks a lot.
Best Regards,
Wei-Hao
Hello Wei-Hao,
Thanks for using our forum. I am concerned that if your charge pump is not carefully designed, that the rise in the device ground could substantially lag behind the rise of the device supply Vout', thereby creating a condition where the device is operating outside of the device absolute maximum ratings. Typically, to float the device ground we recommend a circuit topology like the one in this app note. This topology is applicable to the INA138,INA139,INA168, and INA169.
Hi Patrick,
Thanks for the apps note and it is very useful, I will ask the customer to follow the circuit.
Best Regards,
Wei-Hao
