TLC2252A: Thermal impedance required

Part Number: TLC2252A

Hi,

We want to use IC LC2252A in one of our design. Can you please send me the thermal resistance data of the same as it is not mentioned in the datasheet.

Regards,

Sameer A.

  • Hello Sameer,

I can provide some approximate junction-to-ambient (θja) numbers for the two most commonly used TLC2252A packages:

    TLC2252AIDR 8-pin SIOC (8D) θja ≈ 79.8 °C/W

    TLC2252AIPWR 8-pin TSSOP (8PW) θja ≈ 149.4 °C/W

The TLC2252A is a very low power CMOS operational amplifier. Its operating current is only about 35 uA per amplifier, and its maximum output drive current is less than a milliampere when sourcing current, and just a couple of millamperes when sinking current. Thus, in normal operation this device dissipates low power and doesn't self-heat much.
