INA226EVM: Footprint - 11 pins shown in EVM Schematic

Part Number: INA226EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA226,

In the datasheet I see that the INA226 has 10 pins.

In the INA226EVM, there's a schematic which shows 11 pins, and there are two pins connected to GND.

Can you please provide the layout to see what is actually connected?

Thanks,

Ishay

  • Hello Ishay,

Thanks for your interest in the INA226EVM. The engineer responsible for that EVM is out on vacation right now and will not be back until November. From consulting with others who worked on other aspects of this device, I can say that this device has always had a 10-pin VSSOP package. My colleagues suspect the engineer that did the EVM layout may have created the part in the layout program with a thermal pad that he tied to ground, even though the actual part itself does not have a thermal or ground pad.
