INA250: Gain error

Hello,

Our customer use the INA250A2, have a question about gain error.

They will use the external filter. The value of the resistor is 10ohm.

It is mentioned the Gain error resulting from external filter resistor as 0.84% on the datasheet.

When the customer estimate the total error, is it sum of the system gain error as 0.75% and

the gain error as 0.84%?

Hello Naoki,

Thanks for using our forum. For the worst case total gain error, you would sum the system gain error and external gain error. However, a less extreme approach would be to square each error, then sum them, and then take the square root of the sum. This is the approach we use for our online error tool, which includes offset and gain errors.
