INA3221: The function of VPU

Part Number: INA3221

Hi team,

Can you help to answer the question about the VPU pin:

1. What's the function of the VPU pin, does it need to connect the voltage we want to monitor?

2. If we don't supply any voltage to the VPU pin, does the PV pin will always show power invalid?

Lacey

Thanks a lot!

  • Lacey,
Thanks for using the forum for your questions.

    1. This is a way to verify when valid power is available and a pull up. If you VPU pin is above 5.5V use a divider for the PV pin as described in the datasheet.
    2. The VPU will not be defined and you should connect this to the supply a voltage to use the PV pin. If you do not require the use of the PV pin that will be fine.
