ISO224: IMRR

Part Number: ISO224

Hi forum,

I cannot find any statement about the IMRR (isolation mode rejection ratio) in the datasheet of the ISO224.

Can anybody help me to find this parameter?

Rolf

  • Hi Rolf,

Welcome to our e2e forum! We do not specifically have IMRR data for the ISO224. Some older opto couplers included an IMRR specification where a 60Hz signal was applied to the inputs. We use a square pulse instead and show CMTI in our datasheets. Based on feedback from our designers, IMRR would be at least 140dB at 60Hz.
  • Hi Tom,

    thank you, 140dB sounds great.

For me an analog isolation amplifier is mainly used for an isolated measurement of (shunt-) voltages.

In this respect the IMRR vs. frequency should be of greatest concern.

I wonder that this parameter is lacking in so many datasheets.

CMTI is certainly interesting but I find IMRR vs frequency more useful.

    Regards

    Rolf

  • Hi Rolf,

Thank you for the input!  I'll see if we can get the IMRR data into future datasheets.
