Hello all,

I need schmitt trigger using LM393 comparator which can use single supply of 5V.

Also upper trip point is 1V and lower trip point is 0.45V.

Please anyone could design schimtt trigger for the above specification

Hi there,

I would recommend going through this document detailing the design steps for implementing hysteresis in your design: www.ti.com/.../tidu020a.pdf

Attached is a quick circuit I built through TINA implementing the hysteresis using the TLV1701. The LM393 is relatively comparable to this device (besides the number of channels). The resistor values still need to be fine tuned a little bit to meet your 1V Voh and 0.45 Vol, and you will need to find real world value resistors but this should be a good start for you.

Please note this is for inverting output, you would just need to switch the inputs between the Signal and the hysteresis dividers to achieve a non-inverting output.
