INA219: difference between BID and AID

Part Number: INA219

Hey,

Just can't figure out what the difference between the version I219A and I219B is.

Thanks

  • Hi Philipp,

the B-version is more precise. Go to section 7.5 of datasheet to see what this means in detail.

  • Hello Philipp,

Thanks for asking this question here on this forum. We're happy to help.

The differences between the "A" and "B" versions of INA219 are simply the specifications, specifically the input offsets in the the Electrical Characteristics table 7.5. These specifications have a footnote next to them "(4)" and this explains at the bottom of the table that the specs are improved for version B. The note is included next to the current measurement error specifications and this is the result of the lower offsets of the B version.

Hope this helps. Post back if you have more questions.

    Sincerely,
    Peter Iliya
