LM148: LM148

Part Number: LM148

I could only enter the LM148 portion of the part above since the parts I'm trying to find out about are not recognized.

Are LM148J/883Q and LM148JB interchangeable? It has been difficult for me to make this determination since not all of these alpha numerics seem to show on the data sheet that comes up when searching the individual numbers.

I have been tasked with repairing OLD technology as well as developing tests and need to know which of the parts that I can find I will be able to use.

  • Hello Karl,

The LM148JB and LM148J/883 are both mil grade products in CDIP.

LM148JB was developed at TI while the LM148J/883 was developed by National Semiconductor, which TI acquired in 2011.

Both parts are still available and are drop in replacements for each other as long as they are being used within the datasheet specifications.   If performance is expected outside the datasheet specifications there is a possibility the two parts could behave differently.

There are a number of cases where TI and National offered the same part and we still continue to offer both variations because customers have certain preferences.

Where there is a conflict, the National part product pages will end in "-N" for commercial grade products, "QML" for mil grade products and "QML-SP" for space grade products.

So, the LM148 product page covers the TI mil grade product while the LM148QML product part covers the National mil grade product.
