ISO224: VOUTN clamping to GND ?

Part Number: ISO224

Hallo

is it allowed to connect VOUTN (Pin6) to the GND2 (Pin5) when IN (Pin2) is always positiv?

  • Hi Johannes,

no! This would short-circuit this output. The ISO224 has true differential outputs which must not be short-circuited. See the "common mode output voltage" specification on page 8 of datasheet. See also figure 21.
