XTR111: XTR111

Part Number: XTR111

When using the XTR111 to get a 0-3V output (schematic in Figure 48 of the datasheet), I get an oscillation at the output of about 100mV at 250kHz at the top of the useful signal.

Any idea to avoid that?

  • Hi Jean-Philippe,

has it to do with figure 39 of datasheet?

  • Hi Kai,

I think it's figure 38 - when SW1 is closed to have a voltage output.

Then oscillations appear at the output.

  • Hi Jean-Philippe,

To ensure I understood properly, on Figure 38, when OD switch is closed, the output of the XTR111 is disabled.
Setting the OD pin low enables the XTR111 gate driver, and opens the OD Switch of Figure 38. Is the noise present when OD pin is low or when OD pin is high?

Figure 39 shows the typical ~100mV ripple present at the XTR111 output, when the device is enabled (OD pin low). The output ripple amplitude depends on the mismatch of the XTR111 internal current sources, as well to the output current level and the load resistor value.

Is the noise signal seen in your system related to this ripple? This ripple can be reduced by placing a capacitor on the drain of the external FET as shown on Figure 40.

    Thank you and Regards,

    Luis
