DRV2700EVM: DRV2700 output load

Hello E2E,

What kind of current load can the DRV2700 drive? I realize that this will be dependent on the Vout of the DRV2700 and I would imagine the capacitance rating, but I didn't see a way to calculate out its limitations in the DS or EVM user guide.  Thank you in advance for pointing me in the right direction!

    There are two things to consider to verify the current consumption of the DRV2700.

    1) The first one is the piezo driver that you will use for your application. Piezo and ERM current consumption is similar and higher compared with the LRA loads. In addition, the current consumption depends of the kind of effect that the piezo will be used for. I suggest to take a look at this document to more details (it applies for the DRV2700 too).

    2) The second one, as you mentioned, is the Vout voltage that the driver will generate from its boost converter. It depends of many factors like VDD, gain, VPVDD, etc. So, I will recommend you to take a look at the typical characteristics section of datasheet. Particularly, I suggest to check the figures 1-4 and 16.
