AMC1301: AMC1301 output overshoot while VDD1 is power off.

Part Number: AMC1301

The AMC1301 VDD2=5V,

the normal situation is that when VDD1=5V,the output Pin6-7 should be 0V, when the VDD1= 0V, the output pin6-7 should be-2.5V.

while the AMC1301(15 pcs among 40 pcs amc1301 LOT 85TG4)were found that the output was turn to +2.5V first(Overshoot obviously) and then down to -2.5V when the VDD1 change from 5V to 0V, the output should change from 0 V to-2.5V directly. this  +2.5V over will cause fault implement.

most of the these MP amc1301 were OK, while this Lot(85TG4)was not OK.

  • Hi Evan,

does the datasheet specify somewhere that the output will change directly to -2.5V when VDD1 changes from 5V to 0V? If not, then I would not rely on it. Keep in mind, that during power down, at least as long as VDD1 is > 3V, the fail-safe feature might not work properly.
