LMC7101: Pin-to-pin compatible part with lower offset?

Hi, does anybody know of an op-amp with lower input offset voltage, that is pin-to-pin compatible with the LMC7101A? This part has positive supply on pin 2, instead of pin 5 which seems to be the industry standard. Is there a way to search op-amps according to pin-out? Thank you.

Hi Heinrich,

Right now there is no way to search for this unique pin-out that I am aware of. We are looking into this to see if there is some way to make this easier.

I would look at the TLV9001 in the DBV package, that should be pin to pin and have lower maximum offset. It doesn't have the same supply voltage range (only supports 5.5V, not 15V) so if that's an issue, you can look at the OPA170 in the DBV package.

If you can share with me your circuit configuration and what your desired offset voltage level is (typical and max), we can refine our recommendation.

Hi Paul,

I'm using 3.6 V, so no problems there.

The TLV9001 page doesn't have a link for the datasheet.

The maximum offset should ideally be lower than 500 uV. The circuit is a current limiter that references to 50 mV.

FYI: The following devices have the same pinout as the LMC7101 (V+ on 2):

LMC7111 (micropower version of LMC7101)
TLV2711 (50kHz, 3mV)
TLV2721 (510kHz,3mV)
TLV2731 (2MHz, 3mV)
TLV6001R (1MHz, 4.5mV)

We have not found any TI precision op amp that uses that particular SOT-23 pin arrangement.
