AMC1300: AMC1300 single - end input mode, use problem

We are pushing AMC1300 to replace avgo_acpl-c790. Our competitor (acpl-c790) supports two working modes of differential input and single-end input. In the AMC1300 datasheet, there is only differential input working mode.

If the AMC1300 is also connected to a single end connection, I wonder if there is any performance impact?

Hello Leon,

Both devices have fully differential amplifier switched capacitor inputs. Measuring signals in a single-ended configuration has an inherent drawback as the noise is taken in the measurement. For a differential measurement, the noise should be similar on both channels and is subtracted out when going through the amplifier. This will be the case for both devices.
