I am representing a major sensors provider for critical applications in the aerospace industry, and we are proposing to use the PGA309 in our pressure sensor design for critical applications installed in engines and other aircraft systems, for the next 20 years. At this point, we have sufficient technical data to justify the purchase, but we also need pedigree information so that our customers will have the confidence of meeting regulatory and safety requirements, since it is for critical applications.
Without disclosing customer names or other confidential information, we need to understand the history and risk of using the PGA309.
• Does the product have usage history in critical applications (i.e. aerospace, medical, nuclear, etc.)?
• What is the volume per year usage, per industry/application?
• What are the cumulated hours of service in the aerospace industry?
• What is the risk of obsolescence, supply risk, for the period of our interest?
I understand that it may not be easy to answer these questions specifically, but can TI share anything (non-sensitive) to support aerospace certification (DO254 standards)?
