TL331: TL331 Precision

Hi:
The product I designed USES TI TL331 to control the power switch through voltage comparison.I would like to know the IN+/IN-pin precision range of this device.IN addition, IN+ voltage is greater than IN- voltage range,  Vout Pin will become high level, thank you!

    Hi Sunny,

    The VIN range for this device is from -0.3V - 36V, and has input offset voltage of 2mV (TYP) and 5mV (MAX) at room temp. The input offset voltage will be max 9mV across all temp range of the device.

    Hello Sunny,

    The "Precision" is dominated by the offset voltage specification.

    The offset specification for the TL331 is a maximum of 5mV at room temperature, and 9mV over the full operating temperature range.

    The 5mV is tested in production, so you should never see a device over 5mV at room temperature.

    The offset number is both positive and negative (±9mV). So you should design expecting both a +9mV AND -9mV error in the comparison to the applied reference voltage.
