Hello,

Good evening

In AMC1301,it uses delta sigma modulator which converts analog signal to digital bit stream,and how it is converted back to analog signal which is fed to OPA320-Q1?

Hi Karthik,

Inside the AMC1301-Q1, there is a 4th order active low-pass filter that converts the modulator bit stream back to a differential analog output signal. Please have a look at the block diagram in section 8.2 on page 17 of the datasheet.

Hello Tom,

Can you explain how 4th order active low pass filter is converting the modulator bit stream into analog output signal in AMC1301-Q1?
because the low pass filters passes only the low frequency signals of analog input right

Hi Karthik,

I can't give you specific details on what's inside the AMC1301-Q1, but if you take a look at one of our isolated modulators, like the AMC1304 for example, you see what happens through the input modulator stage of the AMC1301-Q1. The modulators provide the raw bit-stream data while the amplifiers provide a back end filter stage with an output bandwidth of ~210KHz for the AMC1301.
