Hi Experts,

My customer want to know BOOSTXL-TLV8544PIR firmware protocol communicating with pc GUI or source code, which can help them develop PIR application based on our other MCU device such as MSP430. Could you please share this protocol to us.

Hi Alex,

The Booster pack with TLV8544 has an I2C routed from CC2650 launch pad to read current levels from INA226. All other communications between the booster pack and launch pad are via GPIOs. And the launch pad connects to PC via an USB cable.

Hi Bala,

I means we just need the application protocol format between PC and USB serials. Customer want to use PC GUI debuging their PIR sensor. we don't need the protocol between CC2650 and INA226. Thanks!

Hello Alex,

The Launchpad creates two USB serial ports, one for programming and one for user comms. These can be seen in the Windows Device Manger Ports section as XDS100 "Application/User UART".

The output of the Launchpad is a continuous stream of comma separated ASCII data at 115200/8/N/1 baud out of the user port.

This data can be viewed in any serial terminal (like Putty, TeraTerm, or Energia monitor).

The data is the raw PIR ADC output, upper and lower thresholds and the current monitor ADC reading.
