OPA2189: Single vs dual op amp usage.

I need to use 2 op amps in a new design. 

I have noticed that the OPA189/2189 are new and recommended for new designs.

In order to save space I would prefer to use the OPA2189, but are there any differences in terms of performance between OPA189 and OPA2189?

Are there any drawbacks in using one OPA2189 instead of two OPA189 op amps?

    Hi Ylber,

    when you carefully read the table on page 8 of datasheet, you will notice that some of the maximum specifications of OPA189 are a bit better than those of the OPA2189. See also figure 39 of datasheet which shows the channel separation of OPA2189.

    If all this is of no interest for you, you can use the OPA2189.

    I like very much to use dual OPAmps, because they are cost effective and need less power supply decoupling caps in total than when using single OPAmps. And they allow an easier layout routing than quad OPAmps.

    I agree that the differences are negligible compared to the space savings and cost saving.
    I will proceed with using the OPA2189.
