OPA2277: OPA2277UA/2K5 BOTTOM/TOP DEVICE MARKING

Part Number: OPA2277

Hi,

I was inspecting/testing the part# OPA2277UA/2K5 high precision operational amplifiers and noticed on the datasheet, there is an updated device marking, with revision date August 24, 2018.

The part that I was inspecting is slightly different from the datasheet (top/bottom pictures as below). Is there any device marking change, whether top or bottom, that was not listed on the datasheet?

DC 1904, COO- MY, TOP (LEFT),                                           BOTTOM (RIGHT)

Thank you all in advance

  • Hello Miranda,

I can't disclose the details of our marking codes due to device counterfeiters. If the OPA2277UA/2K5 devices were obtained directly from TI, or one of our authorized distributors, then the devices must be genuine product produced by TI. Surely you have encountered a device, or devices from another production lot mixed with another. That can happen when one assembly lot is at its very end and another is just being started. Devices from each lot end up in the same tube.

I believe the bottom side mark is mold ID, that is unrelated to the top side markings. The mold can be used for any product that is available in the same 8-pin SOIC package as the OPA2277UA/2K5.
