TLV1805: Vout Range

Part Number: TLV1805

Dear Team,

What is the Vout range if Vout go high?

Is it V+ ~ V+ +0.3?

If yes, do you have more precise device can suggest?

1. Input voltage is 0~5V
2. The input frequency is 1KHz.
3. IC VDD / VSS = +/- 12V
4. The output is +12V or -12V (equal to VDD/VSS)
5. Rising / Falling Time <= 0.5us

  • Hello Kevin,

    The Abs Max for the output refers to externally forced voltages, such as in shutdown or ringing/back EMF from the load. The output cannot swing wider than the supplies.

    The output voltage swing over load current is shown in figures 25 through 30. Use the 12V curves for 24V to allow for a little margin.

    You did not mention the load current. I'll assume 1mA. The graphs show you should expect a 20mV sinking and 30mV sourcing swing to the rails at 1mA at room temp. So the output would swing -11.98V  to +11.97V.

    However, be VERY careful about power dissipation when operating at high supply voltages (see Fig 22).

    The TLV1805 should be able to fulfill the requirements.
