ISO224: common mode input range

Hi Team,

Quick check, if VDD1 is 5V, what is legal input common mode range referring to VDD1?

Currently customer tested on our EVM when 8V input, VDD1 = 5V, device can still works noramlly, but I couldn't see any spec regarding input common mode range, can someone please show me where is the spec?

Hi Andrew,

The ISO224 has a single-ended input range of +/-12V, there is no common-mode voltage for the input.

There is an internal charge pump that allows the input signal to swing beyond the power rails.

So what is min VDD1 spec? What is min voltage for charge pump to work normally? Thanks.

Hi Andrew,

Please see section 7.3 in the datasheet, Recommended Operating Conditions. The high side power supply minimum voltage is 4.5V.
