LMV331-Q1: Failure mode analysis

Part Number: LMV331-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMV393-Q1,

Hi team,

We want to know the expected failure mode of LMV331-Q1 and LMV393-Q1.

We are particularly concerned about whether there is a failure mode that can lead to fire hazards.

Could you provide me any information for failure mode?

Best regards,

Tomoaki Yoshida

  • Hi team,

    Any update on this issue?

We hurry up and want to judge whether measures against fire hazard are necessary.

It would be appreciated if you could let us know if there is an analysis result.

    Best regards,

    Tomoaki Yoshida

If you remain within the abs max specs on the datasheet, there is nothing that will lead to a fire hazard.

Exceeding the abs max specs can lead to the device being permanently damaged, but there is still nothing that we are aware of that would lead to a fire hazard.

Sorry for the delay of our response.  We were on National holiday.

  • Hi Chuck-san,

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand the risk of fire hazard.

Is there analysis result whether short destruction or open destruction when destruction occurs?

    Best regards,

    Tomoaki Yoshida

I am not aware of any analysis data that I can share with you.

The key parameter to prevent damaging the device is maintaining a junction temperature less than 150C.

Excessive heating can damage the device but I do not have anything that indicates a fire hazard.

Unfortunately I do not have any additional information to share.
