LMH6628QML-SP: LMH6628QML-SP vs LMH6628 supply current

Hi Team,

Need your help in confirming this. The LMH6628 datasheet states that its supply current is max at 12.5mA "per channel". While for the LMH6628QML-SP, datasheet says it is max at 24mA or 25mA at extreme temperatures, but with no description. Is this value interpreted "per channel"? or "per package"?

If it is per channel, what is the reason for the big difference? Are the thermal resistance or EOL degradation due to radiation be its key factors?

The is almost certainly 12.5mA/ch on the QML . Normally, there is minimal to no die redesign to go QML-SP - sometimes they will change the ESD cell.

When the space guys redo a datasheet, they often do things without checking the original product group.

Hello Jejomar,

Please remember that commercial products and the space grade versions will not be the same so you can't compare datasheets.

On the LMH6628QML, the supply current is specified for the whole part and not per channel.

Note that there is an error on the LMH6628QML datasheet on the output voltage range. It should be +/-3.5V.
