ina322

I am using an INA322 Instrumentation Amplifier set up for gain of 30 (r2 150k and r1 30k), and on the ref pin i0m putting 0.6v.

If i well undestrand my output should change from 0.6 to G(8vin+- vin-) is it correct? ref set the minimum voltage output , that in this case is 0.6?Can i put the ref to ground?

Thanks

David

  • David,

I'm not sure about the way you have written the gain equation. The gain of the circuit you describe is 30. The offset of the transfer function depends on exactly how the 0.6V offset is applied to the ref terminal. I've shown two possible connections with their transfer function.

I encourage you to simulate your circuit with TINA or other circuit simulator that will allow you to explore the input and output range of your application, including the common-mode voltage that may be present. This will give insight into the transfer function and limitations of signal and voltage levels.

    Regards, Bruce.
