PGA308: abs. Storage temp

Part Number: PGA308

Hi,

Datasheet mentions that Exposure to absolute storage temp may degrade the device reliability.

Could you please advise what kind of failures may generally be occurred, for example?

Best Regards,

  • Hi Yukiko,

The storage temperature range refers to a condition where the device is stored, unbiased (not operating).

In terms of the Electrical Characteristics, in general, we don't expect parametric degradation when the device is un-biased and not turned on and stored at a temperature close to the absolute maximum storage temperature.  However, there may be potential mechanical, package and bond-out wire degradation if the device is stored at a temperature above/below the Absolute Maximum recommended storage specification for extended periods of time.

If this does not answer your question, please explain the temperature conditions on how the device is stored; and explain the application requirements so we can have a better understanding of your requirement.

    Thank you and Regards,

    Luis
