INA186: Capacitively coupled?

The spec sheet for the INA186 refers to the part as capacitively coupled.  This to me would mean that it was not suitable for measuring DC signals especially if they were steady for a long time.  This part appears otherwise to be suitable for measuring DC current through a shunt.  Is is suitable for DC?  If so what is meant by capacitively coupled?

    The INA186 has no issue measuring DC signals. The input stage of the device is capacitively coupled, but the internal architecture is not as simple as the functional block diagram in section 7.2 of the datasheet might suggest. The input stage uses a variety of methods, including switching, to sample the voltage at the input pins such that it can be used like any of our other current sense amplifiers.
