Hi team,
My customer is using TLV1702-Q1. They want to know if 'Voltage Output Swing From rail' is the same spec like VOL?
And could we provide our test diagram/test circuit for this spec?
Regards
Michael

You are correct. This spec is the same as VOL.
Testing is done by forcing current to the specified value and measuring the voltage.

Chuck,
Thanks!
I think I know the test method of this spec. But customer wants a strict description by block diagram or test circuit. So I want your help to provide this, to help them better understand this spec. Could you kindly help?

Hi Michael,
Please see the attached image. The device is powered on at 36V with the output tied to 0V pullup source (for Vol) or 36V (for Voh). For this test, we place a current source at the pullup voltage to force a current, We sweep a range of current through the output until the current saturates (Short circuit current spec).
While sweeping the value of the current, the voltage difference from ground is measured - giving us the Vol (or for this datasheet/part: Vo). We listed the worst case (max) when showing the two test conditions (Io <= 4mA, Io = 0mA).

Jonathan,
Thanks. I think there is a typo. 18.1V and 18V need to be exchanged, right?
Anyway, thanks very much.

Michael
