LMC6064: LMC6064

Part Number: LMC6064

What is rail to rail supply voltage of LMC6064 Precision CMOS Quad Micropower Operational Amplifier??

I have tried +5V to 4 no. pin and -5V to 11 no. pin  but the IC was burnt.

  • Hi,

+/-5V supply voltage shouldn't be a problem, provided that you don't violate the absolute maximum ratings at any time.

    Can you show a schematic?

  • Please find the partial schematic. Consider quad op-amp of LMC6064

  • Hi,

what are the "RE", "CE" and "WE" signals? And where is the feedback loop of OPAmp "2"?

  • Hi,

Thank you for your post. Can you share a schematic of the LMC6064 including all expected input / outputs and surrounding components? The LMC6064 should be able to operate at +/-5V so there must be something else we need to review.

  • Hello Nirav,

    • Can you provide more of the circuit schematic so we can see more of the details?
    • How is the +/-5 V being provided to the circuit?
    • Do all of the LMC6064 you have tested burn up?
    • Were industry standard ESD handling procedures used when handling and installing the LMC6064?
    • Have you tried monitoring the LMC6064 supply pins with DSO probes during circuit power up and operation to make sure there isn't an over-voltage being applied?
    • Was the LMC6064 obtained directly from TI, or one of our authorized TI distributors?
