LM2901AV-Q1: Maximum output current

Part Number: LM2901AV-Q1

Dear All,

I've a question about maximum output current (per comparator) of LM2901AV-Q1.

In datasheet it's reported that the "Recommended max output current" is 4mA. What does this means?

Can't I use it at 6-7mA? What happens in this case?

Thanks in advance for reply.

Best Regards

Stefano
