OPA549: opa549

Part Number: OPA549

Can you please recommend an insulator thermally conductive pad for this opamp.

what is the package name for the opa549s.

thanks you

  • Hi Moise,

Do you have the temperature operating range for OPA549 application? Are there any materials that are prohibited used in the application or operating environment? What is worst case in operating temperature and wattage used in the application?

I can give you a general recommendation. However, I want to be more specific for the operating environments per the application.

  • Hi Moise,

If you are not sure the questions that I am asking, please tell me the industrial application that OPA549 will be used in. In aerospace, for instance, many of BOMs are subjected to aerospace regulations. If undesired materials are used in an unit, material toxicity data, smoking/burning analysis, used quantities etc. have to be reported. I am trying to avoid the scenario when recommending something in this regard.

Below is the torque and mounting specification of OPA549. It was recommending thermal paste or similar thermal conductive materials. There are so many new thermal conductive materials on the market in last 15+ years, it will be good to use new types of thermal conductive materials, which will be less messy, and has much better thermal conductive properties and inexpensive for the application.

  • Hi Moise,

I am going to close this inquiry. If you have any questions, you may still open and post them on the forum.
