AMC1200: Application in Air-conditioner

Part Number: AMC1200

Hi team,

I have noticed that AMC1200 has win in the Air conditioner. So I have some question for that:

1. What's the main difference of the AMC1200 and common amplifiers? 

2. What's the application filed of the AMC1200 usually in the air conditioner  

3. What kind of spec of the AMC1200 would the customer care in the application of air conditioner?

4. Why the AMC1200 could be the hero device in the air conditioner? what's the advantage of the AMC1200 comparing with the competitor?

    Hi Wesley,

    We received some information and confirmation from our marketing team that the devices do have some success in air conditioners.  Since the device is an isolated amplifier optimized for current sensing measurements our main guess is that the device is being used in an isolated current sensing application for the AC drive electronics, and/or voltage sensing again on the AC drive, or main AC input.

    3. What kind of application  need isolated current sensing and why? what's the difference between the current sensing via the common amplifiers and the current sensing via the isolated amplifiers?

    Hi Wesley,

    an isolation amplifier is needed, if you measure a voltage or current on the mains voltage side, which the operator must not touch for safety reasons, and want transfer the measuring value to a site which the operator is allowed to directly touch. Or by other words, if you need a specified galvanic isolation for safety purposes.

    The AMC1200 can also be used in applications where the measuring signal is contaminated with a huge common mode signal.
