OPA4277-SP: Performance vs OPA4277

Part Number: OPA4277-SP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA4277,

Hi team,

In the OPA4277-SP datasheet, the BW is stated as 1MHz instead of the commercial part OPA4277 which has a BW of 8 MHz. Are there any additional performance differences between the -SP and commercial versions of the device?

Thanks,

AH

  • I'm not sure where the 8MHz bandwidth spec you refer to is coming from; perhaps you are thinking of a different part? The OPA4277 commercial part lists a GBW of 1MHz, the same GBW as the OPA4277-SP. Comparing Figure 1 in each datasheet, we can see that unity gain occurs for each device at 1MHz, so the bandwidth is the same.

As far as other differences go, the main discrepancies lie in the max VOS and Ib specs, but it should be noted the space part is tested at more extreme temperatures at which the effects of drift will be greater. AOL_min is slightly lower for the space part, but AOL_typical is the same. Note too that the ESD rating for the space part is the +/-100V machine model, vs +/-500V for the commercial part.

    Cheers,

    Jon
