TLV9001: Confused about the footprint

Part Number: TLV9001

Hello, guys

I have designed a PCB where I implement your amplifier TLV9001. I have used the footprint SOT-23 (DBV Package) where the pins are the following (page 6 of https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tlv9001.pdf):

  • pin 1: In +
  • pin 2: V-
  • pin 3: In -.
  • pin 4: Out
  • pin 5: V+

In my BOM the part chosen is TLV9001IDBVR. And I think that this part is not corresponding to the footprint used. Is that true? Or really my footprint is OK, and the part also and my manufacturer has been mounting wrong parts in my PCB?

Many thanks in advance!

Luis

    Hello Luis,

From looking at the datasheet more carefully, it seems that there are two different options for the same package with a different pinout for each one.  If we look at the image below, the pinout you have described corresponds to the figure on the right.  However, this is the pinout for the "TLV9001U" or the "TLV9001UIDBVR" whereas your BOM selection is the "TLV9001DBVR," which corresponds to the figure on the left.

So, these will both be the same package, but the pins will be ordered differently.  The easiest fix would be to change the BOM to the TLV9001UIDBVR.  This should resolve the issue.

Please let me know if anything is unclear or if you have further questions.  We can converse in Spanish if you would prefer that.

    Regards,

    Daniel

I'd supposed that I was wrong with the selected part on my BOM.

I will swap TLV9001DBVR with TLV9001UIDBVR on the PCBs.

    Thanks again and best regards!

    Luis
