OPA381, datasheet analyse

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA381

Hi,

First, happy new year!! (if it's still the right time)

Second, I m currently working with an OPA381. I tried to use TINA_spice but I missing a parameter. On page 7, There is a current source as input of OPA381. How much current does it supply?

On page 6, It's the same question about the photodiode.

Thank you for taking time.

Steven

  • Steven,

For the typical response data on page 7 the input can be inferred from the size of the output step and the feedback resistor. For example, in the upper left, a 200mV output step is created by a 4uA input step current flowing through the 50k-ohm feedback resistor. Similarly, in the upper-right, the input step is an 80uA.

The data on page 6 are small-signal responses. The input current is set to create a relatively small output signal, approximately 50mV or so. This avoids any large signal limiting due to slew rate. The exact input level is not critical and changes with the value of R-feedback.

    Regards, Bruce.
