TL331: Device marking of TL331KDBVR

Part Number: TL331

Hi Team,

According to the TI website the device marking of TL331KDBVR should be T1KG or T1KL, but it shows T1KJ on the picture below.
Why is it different from the website, are they the same device?

Best Regards,
Tom Liu

  • Hi Tom,

It is a valid identifier. The last letter ("J") identifies the assembly site. These high-volume devices are assembled at multiple sites.

The device you have is from an older batch that was assembled at an assembly site that has since been transferred.

Since the site has dropped off the internal assembly systems, the "J" code is no longer automatically appended to the datasheet and web part identification fields.

But it is a valid code and the other markings are consistent with what we expect to see.
