hi Team,
my customer is trying to measure current in a battery application
we'd like to check that if TI has solution that integrates current ? (coulomb counting)
as normal current sampling IC would depend on sample rate and polling periodically. but the current fluctuation in between the samples might be missed by the sampler
Thanks for the help
hi Kai,
Thanks for the quick feedback
the fluctuation would depend on application, for example notebooks now has turbo mode pulses around 10ms
customer just want to check if TI's current reporting device has integrate method vs sampling method.
Many of the battery management IC's have coulomb counting as well as some other useful features for battery monitoring:

Hello John,
Good news, we have just released the INA229 (At preview status, found https://www.ti.com/product/INA229-Q1), which is a digital current shunt monitor with integrated coulomb counting. This device also monitors Power and Energy, and has a built in temperature sensor as well.
