    Thank you for posting to E2E!

    TI isolators that can be used instead of EL817M are ISO7710 and ISO7810. If multiple data lines will be isolated, these devices are available with up to six data channels in various configurations in a single package. This can provide space savings, and our isolators are expected to have significantly more reliable and consistent high voltage performance.

    Which signals does our customer need to isolate? TI's solutions are not pin-to-pin compatible with EL817M; please let us know more details of the isolation solution our customer is looking for.

    Please refer to customer's ACDC schematic here an provide comment for this application is suit for ISOXXX or not.

    Would you please provide comparison table from technical spec and cost?

    Hi SHH,

    Thank you for sharing the schematic, it helps us understand how the optocoupler is being used in customer application. I see that the optocoupler is used for transmitting an analog voltage or current feedback signal from one side of isolation to the other side.

    The isolators that Manuel had suggested, ISO7710 and ISO7810, are for digital signal isolation. These devices can only accept HIGH/LOW digital signals and isolate and hence can't be used for the AC/DC application that you have listed. We currently do not have any device that can be used for such feedback signal isolation.

    The optocoupler EL817M can also be used for low speed digital signal isolation. If customer is using EL817M for such digital signal isolation use case then ISO7710 can replace EL817M with much better performance on most of the parameters like datarate, timing characteristics, EMC, etc. Thanks.
