Hi Team,
My customer is looking for a comparator with at least Io=10mA and Vcm= -0.3V for Single supply +5 or +10V.
Identified few devices. TLV3201, device is having push-pull output and can't directly drive 10mA.
For LM2903 VOH is not clearly mentioned in datasheet.
Can you please help with right device.
Regards, Shinu Mathew.
Hi Team,
Can you please confirm that LM2903 can be used for below application.
Vcm=-0.3V
Io= sink current >10mA to 12mA
VOH aprox. 4.5V
VOL approx. 0.4V@10mA sink current
Regards, Shinu Mathew.
Hello Shinu,
As Kai said, the output current is too much.
If you look at Figure 3, >10mA is getting into current limiting range (the curves bend up), so the output low voltage will be variable between units.
We recommend sinking currents less than 5mA.
The LM2903B should be able to handle the common mode, but the 10-20mA is better handled with an external transistor or MOSFET.
