Hello,

Can you explain why it would be better to use the newly released LM2904B-Q1 in place of the older LM2904-Q1 version when selecting an amplifier for my automotive system designs? Will there be a cost difference?

    Hello Thomas,

    Yes, the LM2904B-Q1 can be used as a higher performance drop-in replacement for the LM2904-Q1 and is sold at a lower cost.

     LM2904B-Q1 has many benefits over the older version LM2904-Q1. These benefits include:

    • Lower cost
    • Increased supply voltage range
    • Integrated EMI filters
    • Lower offset voltage(Vos)
    • Lower power consumption(Iq)
    • Higher ESD ratings(HBM & CDM)
    • Increased supply chain capacity
