LM393: About input pin on unused op amp

Part Number: LM393

Hello,

Regarding to unused op amp on LM393DR, my customer is asking a question.

They will connect GND to input pins as following and refer below threads and LM393-N datasheet.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/amplifiers/f/14/p/661703/2432626?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=unused%20LM393

According to this thread, the inputs should be tied to different voltages.

Contrary to what some datasheets state, do NOT tie the inputs together or to ground.

According to this thread,as stated in the (LM393-N) datasheet apps section all unused inputs can be tied to GND.

Which thread should they believe?  Or Which is best?
