Hi,

I plan to use below speaker in our medical device. Could you please recommend suitable driver for controlling the speaker as per IEC 60601-1-8 standard ? (Volume, tone, mute, speaker failure status and generating harmonics).

Input supply : 3.3VDC

Hi Boopathi,

this is a 4Ohm / 3W loudspeaker. Do you need a pure amplifier? Or a chip providing control of volume, tone, mute, etc.?

Thanks for your response. I need a chip which providing control of volume, mute, tone, detecting speaker failure, etc.

Speaker rated input power is 3W and Maximum input power is 4W. It has 4ohm impedance.

Hi Boopathi,

Perhaps a smartamp could be a good option as it includes some processing as well as the speaker driver.

You can take a look at TAS2563 and let us know if it fits your application.
