OPA548: TINA vs. PSPICE model (both say that simulator is TINA)

Hello,

Both the TINA and PSPICE models (OPA548.lib files) on the TI website for OPA548 say that the simulator is TINA.

I would appreciate if someone can point me to the PSPICE model file.

    Thank you for your response.  Sorry, if I did not state my confusion clearly.

    Both the OPA548.lib files under the PSpice directory as well as the TINA-TI directory appear identical to me.

    Should the PSpice file be different from the TINA-TI file?

  • Hi Nitish,

    OPA548's PSpice model is dated back in 1997, so I won't be surprised that both Tina_TI and PSpice model look identical or similar. Although the some of features have been modified over the years, the overall modeling remain unchanged. 

    Are you having issues in simulating the part in PSpice? I will ask Thomas to comment on it,  if there is a specific feature you are looking for.

    TINA-TI is a PSpice based simulator. Therefore, a TINA-TI model can use the exact same syntax as that for a Cadence PSpice version of the model. Sometimes the various PSpice simulators may add unique component designations, or unique syntax expressions which then makes the model incompatible with other PSpice based simulators. That can make the transfer of a simulation model between different simulators difficult.

    Sorry for the late response.  I was simulating the circuit in LTSpice and wanted to make sure the results I was getting were correct....as LTSpice is PSpice based, I believe.

    Anyhow, I have indicated that this question of mine has been resolved.
