OPA 381, DGKT or DGKR

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA381

Hi,

What is the diffierence between -DGKT or -DGKR. And what is G4 at the end?

Thank you for taking time.

Steven

  • Hi Steven,

The OPA381DGKT signifies the MSOP-8 package supplied on a small, 250 device, tape and reel. The OPA381DGKR is the same device supplied on a large, 2500 device, tape and reel.

The G4 designation came about during the period when manufacturing was transitioning to green, lead-free packaging.  The G4 was used to distinguish this material from traditional packaged devices that did not use green, lead-free packaging. Now that the OPA381 is only available green, lead-free it is really a holdover from the transition period. But because customers have their BOMs set up for one, or the other, part number both part numbers are maintained.

    Regards, Thomas
