INA231 - a single Sense Resistor for two current monitors

Hi,

In a new design we are using two current sensor amplifiers: INA231 (configurable with I2C interface) and INA381 (analog Vout and alert out).

Each current sensor has its own Sense Resistor (10 mOhm).

My question: Can i use the same Rsense for both amplifiers? or will one sense somehow disturb the other one?

Hello Cha ens,

Thanks for considering to use Texas Instruments. A shared shunt configuration should work, as long as you have proper kelvin connections off of the shunt to reduce the impact of input bias currents to both INA devices.
