Dear Sir or Madam,
Note: We use the component in a very slow differential amplifier circuit with some kOhm resistor on the input and output and as a voltage follower.
Best regards

Hi Tobias,
a too small decoupling capacitor will not destroy the OPA2364 by itself. But a higher decoupling capacitance can be helpful when it comes to ESD and stability because it can absorb more charge and provides a lower impedance over a broader frequency range in the HF region.
Could ESD or an overvoltage at the input have destroyed the OPAmp?
Can you show a schematic?
Kai
Hello Tobias,
I agree with Kai. A small bypass capacitor is more likely to lead to insufficient performance than damage.
Can you describe this "defect" in more detail? Have you seen it occur in other units as well or just this one? If you haven't tried already, I would recommend swapping the defective unit for a known good unit to see if the defect follows the part. Any information you can share about the problem is helpful in finding the issue.
If you are comfortable sharing your schematic online with a description of the inputs and outputs, that would also help greatly. The information can also be shared privately, if that is preferable.
Regards,
Daniel
Hello Tobias,
We haven't heard from you in some time and I hope you've made some progress on resolving your issue.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to post here. If I don't hear back for a while, I will assume the issue has been resolved.
