I am making a 0-5V to 4-20 mA converter.

I bought this IC and just for trial made the same circuit givein under Applications in the datasheet (0-10V to 4-20mA).

However the circuit gives varying current for for varying Vcc but doesn't change with change in Vin as it should.

I also tried the 1-5V and 0-5V to 4-20mA circuits but same result?.

 

Also pins 15(Force) gives o/p of 13.3V , pin 12(Sense) give around 9.5V while pin 3 has voltage of 3.75V for Vcc of 14V.

 

Please guide me.

    Thank you for your interest in the XTR110. I'm sorry to hear that you are seeing undesired behavior with the recommended circuit.

    Can you please let me know the markings on the device package? A photo of the package which clearly shows the markings would be best.

    same problem here..... connected to suggested circuit.... when i measured voltage at gate drive...it given 0.5v.... and the source at the mosfet irf9510 given 24v...i think the prob is the gate pin....it must exceed more than 2.5 v to on the switch right...my product code 16z32jw
