LM224: the potential durability for an electrostatic damage

Genius 4190 points
Part Number: LM224

Hi,

Do you have any data or test result to show the potential durability of LM224DR for electrostatic damage ?

Our customer said that they got a request from END customer to choose the vendor which has higher electrostatic durability,

so our customer would like to get information which can show them the potential durability that we can't know from JEDEC standard specs on D/S of LM224.

Any advice would be very appreciated.

Sincerely

Go

  • Hi Go,

usually, the internal ESD protection of OPAmp only allows the handling of chip during assembling and mounting. But to really make it ESD hard for industrial applications, the adding of external protection circuitry is obligatory. This is true for all OPAmps.
